What it does -The Bafang BBSHD/M625 is so well built it can be run at power levels far in excess of the 1000 watts that it is officially rated for. Our upgrade kit replaces the motors controller unit with the ASI BAC855 controller. This increases the peak power available to the motor to 5000 watts. Other improvements over a stock setup are a silky smooth throttle response, blistering acceleration and a much higher top speed. Works with CAN or UART versions of the BBSHD/M625. Will require a UART speed sensor if you have a CAN version motor.

ASI BAC855 controller with pre-installed MR60 phase connector and XT90S battery connector.
Display - Your choice between the EggRider C1 or EggRider V2. You can use your own EggRider C1 or V2 display as long as its the Bafang version and is running the latest firmware. Yes EggRider displays are only rated for 60v max. However ALL EggRider displays will work still work over 60v with the HV kit as the display will never see full battery voltage. Our harness design powers the EggRider display from the ASI controller 12v auxiliary output and communicates battery voltage information through serial communication which will protect the display from over voltages.
Harness wiring - setup for your existing Bafang hardware such as throttle and brake cutoffs (do not use other accessories without checking with High Voltage first).
High quality silicone phase wiring with MR60 connector. The Phase harness is cut standard to 24” with an option for you to cut and crimp yourself to minimize wire clutter. All spade connectors and heat shrink provided. Of course we can crimp for you so the kit will be fully plug and play. Please add a note at checkout if you don’t want the phase wires crimped so you can do it yourself.
Ignition Switch - Choose between a toggle switch, key switch, or free pig tail to add your own. Any standard 12v switch will work.

Options
Voltage - Choose which voltage battery you plan to use with your kit. This will allow us to know what foldback settings to program into your controller. For example if you choose 52 - 72V, you can use any battery between those voltages but the controller will reduce motor power for a weak 52V battery. This is used to extend range and prevent the BMS from tripping due to larger voltage sags. This can be changed at any time using the Android HV Connect BT app if you change to a different battery in the future.
48 - 72V = Low voltage foldback programmed to start reducing power at 42v and cut power at 36v.
52 - 72V = Low voltage foldback programmed to start reducing power at 45v and cut power at 39v.
72V = Low voltage foldback programmed to start reducing power at 64v and cut power at 56v.
Battery requirements to run the full power base map which is set to 3300 watts are as follows. 48v battery needs to be able to provide at least 70 amps continuous. 52v battery requirement is 65 amps. 72v battery is 50 amps. You will be able to adjust power levels to match your battery's capability using the EggRider app if its not powerful enough. The kit can be ran as high as 5000 watts which will increase battery amperage requirements. For example if your 52v battery can only provide 40 amps continuous then this equals to 2080 watts. (52v x 40a = 2080 watts) You can adjust the EggRider to output 2000 watts to match this. Even at this power level you can expect a BIG increase in power as compared to the stock controller. The kit works with both UART and CAN Bafang versions. If you don’t know which version you have simply look at the green 5 pin display connector. A round connector means you have a UART version. Oval is CAN. If your kit is CAN you will need a UART speed sensor which can be found on Amazon for less than $20.
Ignition Switch - This is required to run the EggRider display at voltages over 60v. Since the display is powered from the ASI 12v auxiliary output, the ignition switch is needed to turn on the controller 1st which will then send power to the display. Choose between a toggle switch, key switch, or free pig tail to add your own. Any standard 12v switch will work.
Display - Choose between the EggRider V2 or C1 display. Both displays are highly capable and can be paired with the Bluetooth EggRider App. Visit www.EggRider.com for more information. The HV kit doesn't work with the stock Bafang displays as they use a different protocol.
EggRider V2 - Compact black and white display with integrated buttons.
EggRider C1 - Larger customizable vibrant color display with separate button controller.
Carbon PEEK Gear - When pushing the BBSHD with this much power, the stock nylon gear has a much higher chance of failing. Upgrade to the HV Carbon PEEK gear to get the best performance and reliability out of your BBSHD. Click here for more information.

XT90S to XT60 Adapter - If your battery doesnt have XT90S already we offer an adapter for easy plug and play.
Throttle Bypass - With this option turned on your throttle will be separated from your PAS levels. So you will have full throttle regardless of what PAS level you are in. Except PAS level 0 which will disable both throttle and PAS. When the bypass is turned off the PAS and throttle power will adjust with each PAS level. Max throttle power is adjustable through the EggRider app along with full PAS power level adjustments. Customer Service / Discord - Our customer service goes way beyond the minimum requirements of helping with the kit itself. You will be able to get advice on everything from frame selection to gearing. There are many riders with the High Voltage BBSHD upgrade kits who are very happy to share their experience and expertise.
The High Voltage customer service platform is on Discord. This is an online platform that can be easily accessed via any cell phone or pc. The best experience comes with the phone or desktop application. A regular internet browser window will also work.
We require customers using the High Voltage kit to use the Discord customer service platform. We are not a massive organization and this platform ensures that we are able to respond and resolve customer issues and questions quickly.
If there is a specific reason why you are not able to use the discord platform please get in touch. Although it might feel annoying to have to install another app we firmly believe that you will appreciate both the online support and wider community.
Please note that as authorized ASI dealers all product support is provided by High Voltage. ASI will not support High Voltage customers directly. In the event of an issue which requires ASI, High Voltage will undertake that communication with ASI.
SHIPPING! - There are two shipping options for this product. One is for within North America and the other is for all other countries currently supplied. If your country is not listed send a message and we will see what we can do.
Our kit comes with its own 1T4 (one into 4) harness. It only has 1 brake cutoff input. If you need 2 you can buy a splitter on Amazon for $8. Just search “Bafang brake splitter”. Red is ignition, Yellow 3 pin male is throttle, Yellow 3 pin female is brake, and Green 5 pin is EggRider. All standard Bafang throttles and brake cutoffs are still accepted as the connectors are still the same. You can split the brake input as many times as you wish. If you need to use a shift sensor, you can mount it at the handlebars right after the shifter instead of down by the gear cluster and plug it into a brake cutoff input as a shift sensor uses this for activation.
We don't include a gear shift sensor plug up with our harness. We do include a 2 pin red female Higo connector for the 6v light output on the ASI controller but it is only good for 500ma of current and pulling too much power from it can damage the controller. Aftermarket light harnesses for the Bafang BBSHD will not work with our kit either. Its best to either use a stand alone light system if your light pulls more than 500ma or try our new HV E-Bike Lightning Controller!

BACDisplay by Accelerated Systems Inc. (ASI) enables customers to connect to any ASI Bluetooth®-enabled eMobility controller. The App works as a vehicle dashboard, providing peripheral status, faults and warnings, troubleshooting information, and datalog/live-charts options.
EggRider App
This app allows for customization of the EggRider displays as well as provide a secondary dash and ride and data logging. It also allows you to tune a lot of ASI controller settings.
HV Connect App
This is an android app specifically made by us to provide HV customers access to settings that may not be accessible in the EggRider app. Please always use caution when changing any settings and ask if unsure.
