High Voltage Upgrade Kit for the Bafang Ultra / G510 / M620

About this Kit

This upgrade kit for the Bafang Ultra motor uses the ASI BAC855 and a custom wiring harness to boost the power up to 4000watts with the use of a 72 volt battery.

This kit will come with everything needed to swap out the stock controller with the BAC855 including a choice of display. Full support is available online via this website and on Discord.

Full Use of PAS

The Bafang Ultra is a popular motor because of its integrated torque sensor. This allows for a much smoother power delivery during use of pedal assist. The High Voltage kit has full use of this sensor. Most previous attempts to use other controllers with this motor have not been able to make use of either the torque sensor or the hall sensors. Mike at High Voltage created the circuit board you can see in the image to enable this to happen.

Ready Built Bikes

One of the attractive things about this kit is that there are lots of ready made bikes using the Ultra being made by places like Frey and Biktrix. There are also lots of frames you can order in for this motor if you want to fit out a bike yourself.

This kit is being developed to run with versions of the motor versions including the newer CANBUS models which greatly increases the number of viable bikes to upgrade now and into the future.

Availability

Due to shortages of controllers there will be limited availability of this product. At this time we will be quite choosey who we work with. We are looking for experienced builders to work with. If you build multiple bikes with the Ultra and would like to try this kit please get in touch. We are very interested in working with reliable partners to get these kits installed onto bikes.

Once we are through this initial phase and have ironed out any kinks we will proceed to make the kit more widely available.

We will do our best to make as many of these as we can however we are not in control of the semi conductor industry. We will not be accepting any deposit or pre payments.
