PART 1 - Fitting

Making sure the motor is correctly fitted to the bike is vitally important. Usually with a Fat Bike you need to use the 120mm version of the BBSHD. As you will see in this first video the width of the chainstays means that you won’t have enough width on the 100mm version to secure it properly or find the right offset with the cranks. This video has lots of tips and tricks to make sure your BBSHD is firmly attached to your frame and will not come loose during use.

PART 2 - Single Speed!

This video looks at how you can use a chain tensioner to get a really clean single speed setup for with your BBSHD. This means you can have a really clean and simple look to the build. You only need to have one cable going to the rear brake. There are many ways that you can achieve the single speed setup and tension it correctly depending on the sprockets you are using and the kind of reduction you are going for. In this video we are covering the Golden 1:1 ratio.
